Step 1: Download the Simple Product Import Template 0:15

  • Click the link to download the Simple Product Import Template CSV.

  • Fill in the necessary product information in the template.

Step 2: Fill Out the Simple Product Details 0:33

  • Type: Set to ‘simple’.

  • SKU: Assign a unique SKU for product identification.

  • Name: Enter the product name (e.g., ‘Jacket’).

  • Published: Set to ‘1’ for published or ‘0’ for draft.

  • Is Featured: Set to ‘1’ for featured or ‘0’ for not featured.

  • Visibility in Catalog: Set to ‘Visible’ or ‘Hidden’.

  • Short Description: Provide detailed information about the product.

  • Tax Status: Set to ‘taxable’ or ‘none’.

  • In Stock: Set to ‘1’ to manage stock.

  • Stock: Enter the quantity available (e.g., ’10’).

  • Backorders Allowed: Set to ‘1’ to allow backorders, or ‘0’ to disable

  • Weight and Dimensions: Fill in as necessary.

  • Price: Enter the product price (e.g., ’25’).

  • Categories: Assign categories (e.g., ‘Clothing, Clothing > Jackets’).

  • Images: Add image paths separated by commas.

Step 3: Save and Import the Simple Product CSV 4:15

  • Save the filled template as a CSV file.

  • Go to your WooCommerce store, navigate to the product screen, and click the import button.

  • Upload the CSV file.

Step 4: Confirm Import Settings 5:00

  • Ensure ‘Update existing products’ is unchecked if creating new products.

  • Click ‘Run the importer’ to start the import process.

  • Import the CSV into WooCommerce.

  • Fill in details for each variation, ensuring unique SKUs and correct parent product SKU or ID.
